A Natural Cleanse For Anti-Aging, Great Skin, Weight Loss, Immunity, Pain-killing and MORE

Add all of the following to a high powered blender (preferably a Vitamix)*:

32 oz water (4 cups)

1 entire ORGANIC lemon (rind, peel and all)

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

1/8 tsp cloves (I throw in app 6 cloves)

2 Stevia or Truvia packets (natural sweetener) OR 4 small scoopfuls if you opt to buy the small container

Blend until all ingredients are completely chopped, then dissolved and there are no chunks. Drink throughout the day. I make this for myself whenever I feel as though I need a healthy upgrade (yes, instead of coffee) and I also drink 1 every day for a week out of every month. It's quite refreshing actually, and some of my clients enjoy more than 1 per day. *smile*

* High power blenders such as the Vitamix break down foods to finer and smaller molecules, so that we get more use out of them, rather than our body having to work hard to dissect them, causing indigestion. I worked hard to negotiate a group discount to my followers, so if you’re interested in one, please contact me and I can provide you with the discount code.

NUTRITIVE BENEFITS OF INDIVIDUAL INGREDIENTS

Cayenne = Aids in digestion, absorption and increases blood flow.

Lemon = Antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, increases immune system, detoxifies kidneys & digestive system, aids in weight loss and sleep disorders, reduces varicose veins and infection.

Clove = Antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, reduces impact of environmental pollutants

CAYENNE stimulates digestion and muscle movement in the intestines, which helps restore deficient digestive secretions and aids absorption of food nutrients. (Stomach acid tends to decline with age, and some cases of poor digestion are related to a lack of this acid.) Because it stimulates digestion, it improves the absorption and circulation of the other herbs throughout the body, hence reducing excess appetite that is due to mal-absorption, a common condition in overweight people.

Cayenne also stimulates circulation and blood flow to the skin and peripheral areas of the body and can actually can raise the body temperature a bit, hence, it is often used by those who have cold hands and feet. It promotes heat and is considered to have a diaphoretic (sweat-inducing) action. This action can help reduce fevers and relieve such the congestion of colds and sinusitis. It has also become a popular home remedy for mild high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol levels. I like to use it to warm up my cold hands and feet. J

LEMONS are incorporated for their medicinal offerings…it contains calcium, phosphorus, potassium, ascorbic acid and vitamin A. It is antioxidant, anti-cancer and anti-aging as it prevents cell death. It’s function as an antioxidant is to exonerate free radicals, which can interact with the healthy cells of the body, damaging them and their membranes, and also cause a lot of inflammation, or painful swelling, in the body. Since we’re using the entire lemon in this drink, buy fruit that is organically grown since most conventionally grown fruits will have pesticide residues on their skin. The overview:

-Amazing blood purifier.

-It’s acidity lowers the impact of any meal on your blood sugar.

-Cleanses the kidneys and the digestive system. Detoxifies

-Being rich in Vitamin C, it helps the body absorb calcium.

-In case of insomnia, raw lemon juice helps to improve sleep.

-Rich in potassium, it helps the brain and nerve cells, improves concentration, memory and calms the mind.

-Strengthens the immune system.

-An excellent fighter of infection upon development of sickness, as it is rich in citric acid.

The pectin in lemon peel is a great source of fiber that helps overweight people lose weight. Regular consumption of lemon peel greatly reduces the risk of skin cancer caused by excess sun exposure. It also provides citrus bioflavonoids that help stabilize capillaries, helping to heal varicose veins, bloodshot eyes and hemorrhoids.

CLOVE contains significant amounts of an active component called eugenol, which aids in prevention of toxicity from environmental pollutants like carbon tetrachloride, digestive tract cancers, and joint inflammation. Eugenol and other components of clove (including beta-caryophyllene) combine to make it a mild anaesthetic as well as an anti-bacterial agent. Clove also contains a variety of flavonoids, which also contribute to clove's anti-inflammatory (and antioxidant) properties. From highest of abundance, they are an excellent source of manganese, dietary fiber, vitamin C and omega-3 fatty acids as well as calcium and magnesium.

FREE 1 MONTH SUPPLY OF CHOCOLATE...that's GOOD for you???

Chocolate! Even so much as saying the word outloud elicits a guilty, yet bittersweet emotion. For women, there's a biological explanation backing up our cravings as to why we crave it 'sometimes' more than others. This blog post is not written specifically for women, but men who also suffer from these deficiencies, or even INSOMNIACS...low levels of the feel good chemical called SEROTONIN induce anxiety. And for those that don't, you will now be equipped on what to bring home to his 'moody' significant other, friend, sister, mom, etc. Hopefully a list of bullets will hit homeand suffice, bear with me on this one b/c it's info filled and was a hard topic to organize.
  • Chocolate contains magnesium, hence eating it alleviates magnesium deficiencies, mostly prominent in women. We tend to crave what we're mostly deficient in, our bodies are smarter than we think.
  • The chocolate FREEBIE product I'm sharing with you below does not add sugar to it's cocoa extract. (chose the unsweetened one, and add Stevia to sweeten it...the sweetened version is done so with Sucralose, which is Aspartame, an artificial sweetener - I was all over them for that one when I met the owner at the fit show) It is my hope that the flavors from the cocoa, help to please your sweet tooth. The flavanols from the cocoa bean, extracted from a low heat process, is what a normal chocolate bar cannot provide.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PRODUCT FROM THEIR Q&A SECTION:
  • Q: What are the benefits of CocoaVia and Cirku?

A: CocoaVia and Cirku contain cocoa extract, which delivers 350mg of cocoa flavanols, the plant compounds which help support health circulation and blood flow.

  • Q: What are the benefits of healthy circulation?

A: Healthy blood flow and good circulation are vital to an active and healthy lifestyle. Your circulatory system is the network of vessels delivering blood, oxygen and nutrients throughout your body. When your blood is flowing properly, your vital organs get the oxygen and nutrients they need, to help you feel your best. Healthy circulation affects your total health:

    • Skin – Proper nutrition and healthy circulation nourish your skin to keep it healthy and help you look your best.
    • Endurance – Adequate blood flow helps deliver oxygen throughout your body – crucial during a workout to help you perform your best. Healthy circulation could help support exercise endurance.
  • Sugar requires magnesium to properly metabolize, so remember SUGAR WORSENS MOOD AND PMS! You have to ask yourself if 10 jaw clenches and the 10 second palate joy is worth the long term mood drop minutes to follow.
  • Chocolate also elevates a neurotransmitter called 'serotonin' in our brain, which elevates our mood. Many foods elevate this chemical responsible for mood elevation, the opposite of depression.
  • With women, when our estrogen levels are fluctuating (such as during PMS), our ability to metabolize tryptophan (yes, this is what you've heard over Thanksgiving dinner b/c of the high known levels that turkey contains). This is a very important ESSENTIAL (meanin
g we cannot manufacture it on our own, it must be included in our diet) amino acid that produces the release of serotonin in our brain.
  • LOW LEVELS OF SEROTONIN is the MOST COMMON CAUSE OF mood disorders in our society today!
  • Erratic estrogen levels are the main cause of hypothyroidism...a condition where our thyroid doesn't secrete enough insulin to break down blood sugar from our diets, leaving us to feel hungry, even after a big meal...this causes excessive weight gain.
  • SUPERFOODS help to stabilize estrogen levels (more below)
  • Cliff notes version = Turkey makes us happy, so does chocolate because both fill our brains with serotonin like a bunch of die hards rushing Wal Mart the day after Thanksgiving.
  • My point = YOU CAN INCREASE YOUR FEEL GOOD chemicals in your brain by eating more serotonin boosters. I tell my friends to try a handful of cashews, pumpkin seeds, turkey or avocado when they're sad.
  • Serotonin also has proved to prevent migraines because it prevents the blood vessels in the brain from expanding AND chronic pain, with it's natural pain killing properties.
All of that said, this FREEBIE is an ok product in my eyes. It's made by Mars, the chocolate company...not necessarily a David Wolfe in the world of whole food, true Superfoods. It's free, and it's chocolate flavor, and yes it adds benefits to your circulation, but it's not CACAO bean. It's an introduction to a potentially new step you can take in your life to detox down and slowly wean yourself off of toxic foods and their associated cravings to the most healthy foods in the world, which will help you lose weight, add years of quality life to your existence, prevent aging, promote healthy skin, give you energy, the list can go on forever. So, after your 30 day supply of this free chocolate, try CACAO. Cacao IS one of the top Superfoods integral for vitality and wellness.

"THE CACAO BEAN HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE NATURE'S #1 WEIGHT LOSS AND HIGH-ENERGY FOOD" - David Wolfe, Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future

Trade the caffeine and diet pills in for Superfoods like Cacao and all of your symptoms above will gradually fall by the wayside.

OK, here's instructions on how to order Cacao Nibs (little chunks - I like to add them to smoothies, or my oatmeal in the morning) or Powder, which you can use to flavor cookies, or anything you'd use cocoa powder for. Go to my website, click on affiliates, then the top b
anner, which is netrition. In their search bar, type in 'cacao' and you'll see multiple discounted items from which you can chose. I have both at home and use them religiously.

For the FREE MONTH SUPPLY of Cocoa Via, visit their website:
http://www.cocoavia.com/cocoavia/
Select 'unsweetened' from their drop down box, then '30 day supply', quantity 1, then add to cart, and enter coupon code: 'idea11s'. All you have to pay for is shipping, which was $5.95 for me to LA.

YAY FOR FREE STUFF and good advice right!

Let me know what you think about this product, my blog and what kind of help I can provide. You may have already seen my announcement on FB that I'm officially a certified Nutritionist now and am taking clients around the world. I have the technology to assist long distance...with Skype to connect us face to face for free, as well as my Diet Master Pro software that you can personally log on to input your eating log, that we can BOTH view and analyze using the same program. the only thing I'm not able to do is give you a big hug once you've reached your goals! :D

BE active, BE fit, BE yourself. Namaste!

Vitamin Staples for Fat Loss and Improved Energy

Walking into a pharmacy or drug store without having done research on which vitamins to buy is like dating. It’s unlikely that you’ll find a good one and when you do, it’s even more of a challenge to identify one that is what it says it is. J They both have a lot in common…without knowing much about ourselves, it’s hard to say what is best for us. When it comes to a good mate, well that’s a blog for a different day, but this one will sum up the:

  • ‘must haves’ in vitamins to supplement good health and boost our immunity (ie – train our body’s soldier cells for virus, bad bacteria and disease wars)
  • AND why they are CRITICAL for us in this day and age

FIRST, the benefits….there are many aspects of my health I’ve recently noticed which are MAJOR improvements I’d never thought possible. It’s human nature to recognize the PRESENCE of symptoms, more so than the ABSENCE of them. What I mean by that is, we’ll complain all day that we feel ill or tired, whereas it’s 10 times less common for us to bounce around praising how good we feel. It’s a known fact that when we experience poor service, we’ll complain about it to 10 people, whereas when we experience GREAT service, we’ll share it with 1! This blog is a testament to the ‘HALF FULL’ outlook on life…focusing on WHAT’S GOING RIGHT. This sums up my ‘before’ and ‘after’ of supplementing with vitamins:

THEN NOW
-frequent UTI’s, on preventative Rx -no more UTI’s, no Rx
-regular cold and flus (every other month) -haven’t been ill year to date
-tons of congestion…coughing, runny nose -rarely do I blow my nose
-fatigue, irritability, run down, need naps -leveled energy, alert, calm
-9 hours of sleep -7-8 hours of sleep
-belly swelling -flat stomach, visual waistline

People always say you can’t buy time, but you CAN indirectly by taking:

  • the right KIND of vitamins
  • in the right AMOUNT (doses)
  • from a trusted BRAND
  • at the right TIMES

There are a select few that are universally necessary for all of us. You can argue all day long that “I don’t need vitamins, I can get them through what I eat, and I eat healthy”. But do you? What does ‘eating healthy’ mean anymore? It USED to mean, getting so many servings of fruits, veggies, meat, nuts and whole grains in per day. However, apples to apples is a whole ‘nother conversation these days. A conventionally grown apple nowadays has many fewer vitamins than the ones our grandparents bought at the local supermarket. We would need to eat 4-5 the amount of apples on average, to get the same amount of nutrients than our grandparents did, which I might add, results in an extra 400-500 calories that end up in our designated ‘storage areas’. Speaking of apple, some of us ‘store energy’ for future use (FAT), in our hips, some in our thighs, some in our butts. While it’s basically IMPOSSIBLE to spot reduce, it IS possible and highly within our control to CALORIE reduce, through VITAMIN INCREASE! Pretty cool, huh? J Here are the essentials you’ll need for your Vitamin Box:

Vitamins CAN be cheap, but just like with everything, you get what you pay for. For a while I was taking the Trader Joes brand...they were CHEAP. But I never realized how ineffective they were until I switched to the Isotonix line, which is as close to taking it in IV as it comes. NO other line offers this, and my arms were sore the day after I discovered them because I did too many cartwheels of excitement. The effect is instant...within 5 MINUTES, they've already made their commute to your small intestine for absorption and you can FEEL it. Esp the B complex...it's stronger than a cup of coffee with how much energy it provides, WITHOUT the crash. So, with vitamins, you might as well not take one unless you’re buying a quality brand that’s been around for a while, has a stellar track record and is free of poor reviews or recalls. I use Consumer Labs for this purpose and am exceedingly impressed by the notes on Isotonix’s line, especially when matched up against other lines who are constantly flagged for things such as excess toxic ingredients, half of claimed dosage, etc. I’ve done the research for you so you don’t have to.

In closing, I’d like to share that I’ve tried and tested over 100 different lines of vitamins, none of which were universally NEAR PERFECT. Save the guinea pigging on yourself and take my advice. Now, I wonder how many dates I’ve been on in my life in search of the perfect man. J

Yours always in health,

Vitamin Di

*Multi-vitamins should support your daily dose of A, B and C, however there are many variations of B vitamins that have the ability to support other functions such as B3 (Niacin) for depression, B12 for anemia or non meat eating diets, etc.
