Add all of the following to a high powered blender (preferably a Vitamix)*:
32 oz water (4 cups)
1 entire ORGANIC lemon (rind, peel and all)
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp cloves (I throw in app 6 cloves)
2 Stevia or Truvia packets (natural sweetener) OR 4 small scoopfuls if you opt to buy the small container
Blend until all ingredients are completely chopped, then dissolved and there are no chunks. Drink throughout the day. I make this for myself whenever I feel as though I need a healthy upgrade (yes, instead of coffee) and I also drink 1 every day for a week out of every month. It's quite refreshing actually, and some of my clients enjoy more than 1 per day. *smile*
* High power blenders such as the Vitamix break down foods to finer and smaller molecules, so that we get more use out of them, rather than our body having to work hard to dissect them, causing indigestion. I worked hard to negotiate a group discount to my followers, so if you’re interested in one, please contact me and I can provide you with the discount code.

CAYENNE stimulates digestion and muscle movement in the intestines, which helps restore deficient digestive secretions and aids absorption of food nutrients. (Stomach acid tends to decline with age, and some cases of poor digestion are related to a lack of this acid.) Because it stimulates digestion, it improves the absorption and circulation of the other herbs throughout the body, hence reducing excess appetite that is due to mal-absorption, a common condition in overweight people.
Cayenne also stimulates circulation and blood flow to the skin and peripheral areas of the body and can actually can raise the body temperature a bit, hence, it is often used by those who have cold hands and feet. It promotes heat and is considered to have a diaphoretic (sweat-inducing) action. This action can help reduce fevers and relieve such the congestion of colds and sinusitis. It has also become a popular home remedy for mild high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol levels. I like to use it to warm up my cold hands and feet. J

The pectin in lemon peel is a great source of fiber that helps overweight people lose weight. Regular consumption of lemon peel greatly reduces the risk of skin cancer caused by excess sun exposure. It also provides citrus bioflavonoids that help stabilize capillaries, helping to heal varicose veins, bloodshot eyes and hemorrhoids.
CLOVE contains significant amounts of an active component called eugenol, which aids in prevention of toxicity from environmental pollutants like carbon tetrachloride, digestive tract cancers, and joint inflammation. Eugenol and other components of clove (including beta-caryophyllene) combine to make it a mild anaesthetic as well as an anti-bacterial agent. Clove also contains a variety of flavonoids, which also contribute to clove's anti-inflammatory (and antioxidant) properties. From highest of abundance, they are an excellent source of manganese, dietary fiber, vitamin C and omega-3 fatty acids as well as calcium and magnesium.
