Which blender do I recommend for juicing? The VITAMIX of course!

Vitamix…THE GATEWAY TO HEALTH

The most popular, longest withstanding high powered blender in history… It's been around since the Great Depression. Super cool! I adore companies like this esp b/c they're dinosaurs in this day when customer service and product durability is lacking. One of the most popular questions I’m asked is “Which blender do you recommend for juicing?” My answer is always the same…

I’ve had one now for 5 months and it has since changed my life (Yep, sounds corny, but read on).

I was introduced to this from my friend Dena, a multiple former multi winner of Miss Fitness America, where she won a Vitamix at one of her shows for getting 1st place. I instantly fell in love! As a nutritionist, I run across 2 things when I come over to clients house to conduct a kitchen makeover (eval of helpful tools and dietary items for a healthy lifestyle)...they either already have a Vitamix or their response is that they 'must' have one. There are just so many foods that benefit us only when broken down to the micro level that the Vitamix does. I have a lot of stubborn ‘sweet tooth, I cannot part with my ice cream’ eaters…with this, you can make your own out of REAL food. Healthy ice cream? Healthy chocolate mousse? Brownies? Homemade almond milk? WORD! The pic you see here is all you need to make your own...well all you need is almonds and water, but the rest are options to flavor it up. (see my recipe here):

I have to be honest, when I first saw the price, I was reluctant. My boyfriend was sold on it immediately, but with my former financial advisor background, I had to do my due diligence. I thought to buy it used, so I went on Craigslist. The prices were still high for them, lower than new, but not worth the slight reduction in price (we’re talking $50 or so, and the warranty doesn’t transfer, which is one of the huge pluses of buying new: A 7 year warranty, and then a $100 credit toward a new one if it breaks after the 7 years). So…not worth it to buy it used. “Well, maybe I have a friend who has one that is collecting dust?” Strike 2. EVERYONE I asked about it touted using it daily and wouldn’t think to part with it. Amazon? Sells the old model, just the device itself with one blender and no recipe book, with the worst part being a 5 year LIMITED warranty. Costco…prices are close to the same or more and most of the time, they only sell the largest package at $700 or so, but the extended warranty doesn’t apply. So I exhausted all other options. This was one of the FIRST times it paid off to buy direct from the manufacturer. Well, Apple is another example…the caliber of this machine with the service the Vitamix customer service team offers is 5 Star. I’m the queen of bargain shopping and Vitamix direct could not be beat, all things considered! Oh, and as far as competition, there are other brands that have tried to mimic the Vitamix out there, but none are even comparable. Vitamix 7year warranty beats the warranty for the closest competitor (Blendtec) because Vitamix pledges to repair or replace a damaged blender at their cost - even if the damage was due to the customer. They even pay shipping both ways.

I bought the deluxe package and chose the stainless color, which is an extra $50, but the machine doesn't work any different with that, just matches my other appliances. J

The other packages are the $449 ones. The difference is 2 less blenders (one is for dry grains although I don't find I use that one as much as the regular one), a few utensils and one less cookbook. Honestly, I don't use my 'grains' blender much because I don't do flour or pizzas, but if that's your thing and you have kids who like variety, go for it. Otherwise you can save money by just buying the basic package.

On either one, you would get a $25 discount using my coupon code, which I’ll share below. PLUS, I have a HUGE special I set up for my clients ONLY (yep, you reading this my friend) on my site - a $90 value just for being my friend. I reward you for rewarding yourself with this beaut of a machine! OR, you won't have to enter any codes by purchasing through this link below, as my coupon code will populate by opening it.

Barb is super cool there and she really took care of me on my order. What's neat is they understand English there, so you're not calling another country to place the order. LOL Or you could do it online too. Just be sure to use the coupon code to get the $25 discount.

It even WASHES itself. All you do is fill it halfway with water and 1 squirt of dishwasher soap, blend it on high for 2 minutes, rinse it with water and leave it out upside down to try. It's ridiculous awesome! That's why they also offer the 30 day warranty if you're not stoked about it too. My parents bought one, I put my dad on a drink cleanse (which involves 1 ENTIRE lemon) and he was off his high blood pressure meds in 2 weeks. It literally breaks food down so that we get more use out of them, rather than our body having to work hard to dissect them, causing indigestion. So if you look at it from a standpoint of you get more money out of your food b/c your body can USE more of it for energy, resulting in less hunger and greater satiation, it pays for itself infinitely. Plus, I can’t tell you how many times I had an abundancy of produce reaching it’s demise and rather than tossing them b/c it seemed arduous to come up with a recipe using them all, not to mention the prep involved, I just throw them all in the Vitamix and it always turns out delish. Another long term cost savings b/c less food goes to waste. One of my personal favorites is that I use it to chop all of my veggies for the week and put them in Tupperware for later use.

Let me know if you have any questions about the order. Mine only took 3 days to arrive and was stoked b/c I've been using it every day, 3 times a day usually and it's already paid me back in the homemade things I make (almond butter, almond milk, cashew butter, homemade soup, remedial cleanses, green drinks which I replaced coffee with, etc, etc).

They do offer 3 month payment plans as well if you prefer that route. It’s $15 extra to do so, but makes the expense more bearable if money is an issue. The # to call is 800-848-2649 and Barb's extension is 2310. My discount code is: 06-006724 or you can just mention my name and she’ll take good care of you.

Shoot me an email if you decide to buy one. I’ll include you in on some new recipes I’ve created as well as bring your attention to new blogs I write.

Vita-Mix it up with your life!

Yours in happiness and vitality,

Vitamin Di

Here’s a couple other testimonials I saw that I liked and agreed with:

"This machine has finally led to vegetables being consumed in our house. I sneak them into smoothies and don't mention it until after the fact. Every morning I am making myself a smoothie (you don't need to follow the recipes, just throw in whatever you've got) with primarily frozen vegetables (broccoli, snap peas, green beans, spinach) and tossing in just a bit of fruit to make it taste like a normal fruit smoothie. Ice is unnecessary as long as you use frozen veggies and fruits which are less expensive than fresh and usually frozen at their peak."

"What comes out is wonderful. I know I have an issue with cancer so my lifestyle has to change for the better. Often I worry about my nutrition and not getting enough mainly because of the time constraints of preparing food. This has to be the most convenient device to prepare food and keep it healthy with super fast clean up."
